Love - Start In The Right Direction

What is the secret of a healthy relationship?

A good relationship first begins with YOU.

This works more efficiently when two partners are focused on a goal of keeping their relationship better than ever before.

A lot of relationships have begun so well only to end in disaster. Ever wonder why this happened?

This is mainly because, couples have the tendency to take each other for granted and as a result have become more negligent of each other over the years and months they have been together. This is not how a relationship should progress. In a way as the relationship grows old, it should be viewed in a mature perspective. In other relationships it is not correct to say that relationships grow old, but it should be said “as the relationship matures”.

In most cases, love that has the hottest beginning has the coolest end. In other words, love does not develop over time.

While it is true that there can be a love at first sight, it depends on the partners how to maintain and sustain that love they have felt from the start.

It is important that partners work together in achieving their goal of making the relationship works for them. It is definitely a combined effort and a shared endeavor. Part of every great relationship is setting common goals, then figuring out a way to work together to accomplish these goals. This gives couples a sense of purpose and direction. It also teaches couples how to work together, making their relationship stronger and more rewarding.

This takes a great deal of focus, commitment, and compromise, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Actually, this concept is not limited to only relationships, but applies to other aspects of life such as work and career.

Remember, when you really love yourself, you cannot help wanting to give some of your love away. You must learn to be alone and happy before you can be together with someone else and still be happy. Your happiness always depends upon how you feel when you are alone.

So, when you want a great love partner, become a great love partner. Sharing love with someone must only and always begin with YOU

Thought for the day

It is believed that with the blocking of one senses, you are able to open the other areas of senses.

Just imagine, if you are floating in water, just like a cork in a soundproof, dark room, where the body and the head cannot figure out your senses………

The chances are it will open avenues to other areas of the senses which we never knew that we possessed.

Perhaps the sixth sense or the seventh ?

Must try it one of these days – it can open answers to many a question that have been lying unanswered for years

Social bookmarking

Social bookmarking sites are cropping up all over the internet [Del.icio.us and Furl are two of the most popular ones]

Sites like these run rampant on the internet and are set to explode in popularity. The basics of Social bookmarking revolve around allowing users the option to store their favorite sites and pages online and label them with tags.

Since the bookmarks are stored online, they are not limited to a particular computer. Most Social bookmarking sites also have built in RSS features so users can share their bookmarks.
Some even let users vote for the bookmark or article and will put the most favored links up higher. As a web owner, this means you will receive some extra exposure if your pages are favored by Social bookmarkers.

Each Social bookmarking site is run differently, but all are organized by the concept of tags.

But, since your webpage may be tagged with many tags instead of just one, who really cares with spelling? With tagging, you will want your content to be tagged with as many related tags as possible to increase the chances of your webpage being found.

And at the rate some of these popular Social bookmarking sites are being snatched up by major search engine companies, you know they’re onto something. Yahoo has recently acquired Flickr and Del.icio.us, two of the web’s most popular bookmarking utilities.

One of the top tagging sites on the internet, Technorati, allows the web owner to tag their own content and add it to the Technorati index. Bloggers have been rewarded with thousands of extra visitors per day by mastering Technorati.

There's no doubt that by tagging, you will definitely increase some traffic to your site

Should You Join A Social Networking Site

Another one of the many reasons why you should join a social networking site is because you literally have a wide variety of choices.

As social networking sites increased in popularity, so did the number of sites that could be found online. Although MySpace is often deemed the most popular online social networking site, there are others that are just as easy or as much fun to use.

In your search for social networking sites, you will come across a number of different networks. Many of those sites will have a particular focus and perhaps, the greatest reason, why you should join a social networking site is because most of them are free to use and obviously you may not want to pay for something that you can obtain for free. Of course, most paid networks offer you more membership benefits, when compared to free social networking sites.

Unlike MySpace, which accepts just about any Internet user, there are online networks that aim to accept Internet users that have a particular hobby, view, or belief. It is not uncommon to find social networking sites that focus on politics, religion or just about anything.

If you are unsure about joining an online networking community, specialty networking sites, let Myspace be your best bet. They are a great way to test the waters and they are nice because they automatically pair you with Internet users who have the same interests or views that you do.

So give Myspace a shot.

Depression and easy solutions to getting out of it

Why do people dwell on past memories?

Why do people cope up with all this suffering, when there is nothing and if at all there is any, it should be flushed down a toilet.

These are common characteristics of depression. Failure, to comprehend realities, dwelling on past miseries and most of all gaining satisfaction from it.

On the alternate side, there is this innate fear that something bad might happen to people whom you like.

Is there a solution?

Yes…

But it takes some time and a bottle of common sense.

I say this not because of the above options, but to shake of the system or social supporters of such a system.

They need a scapegoat, and it is high time you realize that you are the evangelical scapegoat.

Take time off, give each of the a piece of your supposed, hypothetical miseries, the ones you are afraid off, the ones you try to hide.

Don’t give it with any anger or remorse. But give it as if you are sharing something valuable, such as say you have received some huge parcel of food or even a prize. Make it look like something valuable, and then you won’t feel bad about it.

Give after a week, list down the number of miseries and fears left.

Should there be no improvement, don’t despair. Go back to the old schedule, but you have a few less of your hypothetical fears and worries left.

Do this again after two weeks. Note the improvement.

Now, also you would start receiving feedbacks from the people you have shared your prizes. If there is a positive response, then you have to really work with yourself.

It would help even if you discuss these problems with a counselor.

Alternately, if your friends, colleagues, neighbors or relatives start politely turning down your prize giving habit, then you don’t have much to worry.

Your theory is not hypothetical; there is a social problem out here.

Each week or two weeks, change your approaches, modus operandi and you would be on the road to recovery.

Perhaps, it would even turn out to be one of the best experiences and lessons you ever learn.

Is It Worth Joining a Social Networking Site ?

If you ask yourself this question - Am I interested in meeting new people online ? and if your answer is YES, then go ahead and join as social networking is here to stay.

Before the era of social networking, it was difficult to meet other Internet users.
If you tried, you would have to rely on chat rooms or instant messaging services
As nice as these popular Internet features are, they are not always considered safe. With chat rooms or instant messaging programs you were often given little reassurance that a person was who they claimed to be as there was no way that you could learn more about a particular Internet user, even if you wanted to.

Social networking has changed all that.

Not only have social networking sites made it safer to meet people online, it also
allows you to meet people that have the same or similar interests as yourself.

Most social networking sites allow you to create your own profile; in fact, many even give you your own web-page. These profiles or pages will allow you to share information on yourself, including your likes and dislikes. And it would be fairly easy for you to meet up with other network members that have similar profiles, especially those who enjoy or believe in the same things that you do.

Neuro Linguistic Programming - NLP

Demand and supply has a funny criteria or in other words a standard or a base that it operates from. Whiz kids call it the benchmark, which of-course bounces off a lot of people.

Now returning to where we started……….the market at present, works on a funny standard , that is a 1,2, and 1,2,0 and a 1,2,3 standard. So basically you gotta write down each move [ie., if you have the time and you are quick on the uptake, by market standards] or else, you are lost!

So, where were we now ?

Did someone mention anything about USP……..or a unique selling proposition ?

Now did someone say some-thing ?

Must make an appointment with my psychiatrist!

Now lets create A as the demand and B as the supply and C as the constant. so that whenever there is a break in communication we can always move over to the other side. In other words, you have to know both sides……….

Oops...ego beckons…………. Let’s bathe in it…….or else C cannot control the neurotic……

Now where do the male and female elements fit in …..in such a process ?

NLP should be a lot more organized…..few understand it

Catch up with you later

Think of social networking as an investment

We admit, social networking is not for everyone.

As you evaluate the goals for your own organization you will need to consider…

All publicity is NOT good publicity

How will (potential) donors react to your organization on a social platform

Will social drive donations?
Is social traffic worthwhile traffic?
Will social traffic convert?
Is social cost effective?

Just think of social networking as an investment for the future.

Prepare to lose control and know who is already pretending to be you.

The mostly young people you will dealing with are your donors and supporters of tomorrow.

Get into the game now and learn how to use social media or you might be left behind for good.

Oh, and anytime people say "this thing is a fad".... I think of blogging.

Lots of people told me that I was nuts with no clear objective, when I started it too. It wasn’t. I had no idea of it whatsoever but I an slowly beginning to enjoy it....

Now let's see what the future holds !

Social Networking Is Investment in the Future

Sites such as MySpace and FaceBook could be a nonprofit's dream market - millions of users engaging in activities and all interconnected.

But just setting up shop and collecting "friends" will not necessarily result in donors and supporters. They provide information from a guide to the "lingo" of social sites, to an approach to planning your entry into social networking.

Eventually you will want to start turning your 'friends' into activists, donors, and volunteers. However, you should make sure your social networking pages always feature lots of opportunities to get involved. Also include donation opportunities on your social networking pages. Even if you do not raise much in the short run, it helps to set expectations for the future.

Always let people know what happened at an event or with a campaign even if they did not participate. They might get involved the next time.

Think of social networking as an investment for the future.

The mostly young people you will dealing with are your donors and supporters of tomorrow. Get into the game now and learn how to use social media or you might be left behind for good.

Yahoo Buys Social Bookmarking Firm Del.icio.us

Yahoo recently acquired Del.icio.us, a New York-based startup that is considered a pioneer in social bookmarking, a type of online service that lets users save, annotate, and tag links to their favorite Web pages and share their lists with other users.

Both Yahoo and Del.icio.us separately announced the deal via postings on their official blogs. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"Together we'll continue to improve how people discover, remember and share on the Internet, with a big emphasis on the power of community," Del.icio.us founder and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Schachter wrote in his company's official blog.

In the official blog from the search engine unit at Yahoo, Jeremy Zawodny wrote that the Del.icio.us team will be working "in close proximity" to Flickr, a photo-sharing service that Yahoo bought in March of this year.

Flickr works in a very similar way to Del.icio.us by letting users not only create online photo albums but also tag and share their pictures with other users.

Schachter said today he's convinced that Del.icio.us will thrive as a result of the acquisition because Yahoo truly comprehends the concept of social bookmarking.

For now, Del.icio.us users will not see any immediate changes to the service. It will remain at its current Web site and will continue to operate in its usual manner, Schachter said.

Flickr and Del.icio.us are considered good examples of what some call the Web 2.0 era of Internet services. Web 2.0 is a much-debated term used to describe many of the Internet companies born after the dot-com bust of 2000 and 2001.

One of the most effective ways to find a job: Network.

Spread the word that you're looking for a new job. First, tell your family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances ... everyone. Even tell your mail carrier and your hair stylist. (But don't tell anyone at your current job.)

When it comes to networking though, there's more to consider than simply who you know.

You have to think about who you DON'T know. And then find a way to get to know those people.

Once you've exhausted your personal connections, it's time to focus on meeting some new faces.

Here are some tips on where to start building a network.

Get 'Organized'

The American Association of Zoo Keepers, the National Association of Truck Stop Operators, the American Nuclear Society ...

No matter what your occupation, there's a professional organization for you!

National and international professional associations often have local chapters where you can meet other professionals in your field. And most hold conferences and other events designed specifically for networking.

Professional organizations can also help you keep up-to-date on the latest developments in your industry. They often provide members with the latest industry news, trends and research as well as training and education. This information can come in very handy in interviews.

Not sure what organization would be right for you? This list , organized by topic, can help you get started.

Hit the Books

Looking for regular contact with a group of like-minded professionals in your industry?

Take a class.

From art design to advertising to auto repair, you should be able to find a class in your area that's relevant to your career. And you're guaranteed to meet a group of people who are also interested in your industry.

As an added bonus, a class can give you new skills to boost your resume and make you even more attractive to employers.

Revisit Your Past

Wish you could find a ready-made network, just waiting for you to join? You can: Your alumni association.

Most colleges and even many high schools have alumni organizations made up of former graduates. These organizations usually contain people in every occupation and industry imaginable.

If your former school has an alumni group, get involved.

Take advantage of the fact that you have something in common with the other alums. Remember: It's always easier to meet new people when you share an experience.

Give Something to Get Something

Sure, volunteer work lets you help others. But it also lets you help yourself -- and your job search.

Consider doing volunteer work to expand your network. You'll likely meet an entirely new group of people.

Choose an organization that's related to your profession, if possible. If you can't find a relevant company or cause, offer to help out your favorite charity by doing something that's job-related. Organizations can always use an extra set of hands to help with everything from computer work to clerical tasks.

By volunteering, you'll get a chance to use your skills, expand your network and make a much-needed contribution.

5 Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back

A lot of successful websites depend on returning visitors to account for a major part of their traffic. Returning visitors are easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The credibility issue just melts away. Hence, keep your visitors coming back to your site with the following methods:

1) Start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox

When you start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox, you are providing your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with their peers -- all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every day.

2) Start a web log (blog)

Keep an online journal, or more commonly known as a blog, on your site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to the monitor if you post fresh news frequently. You will also build up your credibility as you are proving to them that there is also a real life person behind the website.

3) Carry out polls or surveys

Polls and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should definitely consider adding to your site. They provide a quick way for visitors to voice their opinions and to get involved in your website. Be sure to publish polls or surveys that are strongly relevant to the target market of your website to keep them interested to find out about the results.

4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games

Just imagine how many office workers procrastinate at work every day, and you will be able to gauge how many people will keep visiting your site if you provide a very interesting or addicting way of entertainment. You can also hold competitions to award the high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the prize.

5) Update frequently with fresh content

Update your site frequently with fresh content so that every time your visitors come back, they will have something to read on your site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to browse a site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your site updated with fresh bites!

Social Networking: Sites You Need to Know

Social networking is now "just another feature" of many sites - we're coming to expect sites to be SNS-enabled.

At this point, you're probably familiar with - MySpace, Facebook, Classmates.com, even Friendster - as there are hundreds of emergent players, what are sites you need to pay attention to

Cyworld

This South Korean social network is emerging as a strong model for the future of social networks. According to wikipedia, , over 25 percent of the South Korean population has a Cyworld account, with up to 90 percent of South Koreans in their 20's having an account., Cyworld is truly cutting edge; participants in this game-like social network can micropay for clothes, furniture and accessories. Speaking to users of the service, it is clear that Cyworld is nothing short of a phenomenon.

Bebo
Bebo has found a strong international audience, particularly in the UK. Bebo is an open, non-niche network, built on similar concepts as MySpace. Indeed, the market can't support many of these, but Bebo has found validity in sheer numbers. If your social network can find an audience - particularly one that will market on your behalf, users will come. Bebo is an emergent force - one that stands to make significant inroads.

Hi5
Hi5 is the prominent SNS brand in India. Indeed, as India is a tech center, this brand reaches far beyond the Subcontinent - the site is increasingly popular in the EU, as users keep in touch with extended families. If Hi5 can learn from the popular features of Myspace, this brand has a very promising future in a very interesting market.

Faceparty
This long-established UK-based SNS service isn't as popular as Bebo and Myspace have cut deeply into Faceparty's market. Regardless, Faceparty is notable as that it has monetized its user base. Faceparty has the ability to see who is viewing your profile, advanced search, and filtering. There is much to be learned from Faceparty's successes and failures.

XuQa
XuQa represents the other end of the spectrum in college networking - it is purposefully racy, full of game-like features - an anti-Facebook. XuQa is making social networking a game-like experience actually brings people back and it wouldn’t be surprising if Facebook integrates similar features.

Essentially, companies are building social-enabled sites around content areas - In this context, social networking adds the logical next layer to content-driven resources. This is an extremely important trend - in the future, all of our content sites will have social networking characteristics.

Social networking is absolutely here to stay - this is not simply a "phenomenon".

The young users of these tools are situating their entire formative internet experience around them and this "phenomenon" is not bound by geography or culture or language - everyone is welcome to join a social networking website and hundreds of millions of people have done so. Put in context, we're really only at the beginning of "social networking" - these sites, along will shape the future of our online social networking experience.

MySpace and Social Networking Sites

Social networking. We have all likely heard of it before, but not everyone knows what it means?

If you were asked to define what social networking was, would you be able to give an accurate definition? Unfortunately, most individuals cannot, even though it is likely that they participate in some form of social networking, especially online.

Social networking is defined as the grouping of individuals together into to specific groups, often like a small community or a neighborhood. Although social networking is possible in person, especially in schools or in the workplace, it is most popular online.

Social networking sites such as Myspace are primary means of communication among high school and college students and especially teens. And if we want to better connect with many of them, we need to at least be familiar with such "tools" for communication and sharing. If you are not familiar with and have little interest in MySpace, Facebook, and other social networking sites, you ought to reconsider:

We admit, social networking is not for everyone as all publicity is not good publicity and will social drive donations and is social traffic worthwhile and lastly will social traffic convert and is it cost effective?

This is because unlike most high schools, colleges, or workplaces, the Internet is filled with millions, if not more, of individuals who are looking to meet other Internet users and develop friendships. When it comes to social networking online, websites are used. These websites are known as social networking websites.

Social networking websites are, in a way, like an online community of Internet users. Depending on the social networking website in question, many of these online community members share a common bond, whether that bond be hobbies, religion, or politics. Once you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize. This socialization may include reading the profiles or profile pages of other members or even contacting them.

If networking on the Internet sounds like something you would be interested in, you are encouraged to learn more about it, such as the dangers of social networking. These dangers often involve online predators or individuals who claim to be someone that they are not. Although danger does exist with networking online, it also exists with networking out in the real world.

As when you are meeting friends at a bar, school, or work, you are advised to proceed with caution online. By being aware of your surroundings and who you are talking to, you should be able safely enjoying social networking online. Once you have learned everything that you feel you need to learn, about social networking online, you can begin to search for networking communities to join. This can easily be done by performing a standard Internet search. Your search will likely return a number of results, including MySpace, FriendWise, FriendFinder, Yahoo! 360, Facebook, Orkut, Friendster, and Classmates.
